How it all started
Puritan was founded in 1931 as a manufacturer of living rooms
selling directly to leading department stores in the Northeast.
Over the years Puritan has grown to include the Distribution Center
in Wethersfield and for kids furniture founded in 1969, under separate
ownership Puritan Juvenile of Rocky Hill.
In addition to displaying the leading domestic manufacturers,
Puritan's buyers search around the world to acquire new styles,
designs and provide one of the largest, most comprehensive selection
of fine furniture on the planet! we offer Scandinavian imports,
oriental, 18th century, country french, classic colonial - every
style imaginable.
Puritan's original philosophy has carried over to today by offering
the best for less. In addition, Puritan has won numerous awards
for outstanding service, achievement and honors in the furniture
industry. Locally, Puritan has won the Advocate's "Best Of" category
several times.
